It's traditional (and don't you want the world
to know?) to announce your engagement to the public. Some couples
opt. to have their picture (or the picture of the bride) in the
Sunday to-be edition of their local newspaper. It's certainly acceptable,
too, to have an announcement without a picture of any kind. Newspapers
usually provide an outline for you to fill in so that the staff
can write the announcement - or you can write it yourself. The paper
